Meet Juli, our new Sydney teacher
Dance cardio queen, plié perfectionist. There’s not a lot our newest Sydney teacher and resident Latina, Juli, can’t do. Including motivate us to sweat ourselves silly while swinging our hips and salsa stepping. (In case you missed the memo: the woman can move!) Join us as we say a giant “Ola” to Juli.
What’s your favourite class to teach?
It’s a tough question! Definitely Dance Cardio because it is my true passion. I love the way we can express ourselves by letting our bodies listen to the music and just be in the space. It makes me very happy, and it’s very special to be able to bring my Latin flavour to classes. I can tell clients love it, and I’m very grateful for that. Barre Classes are my challenge and growth zone as a teacher. Every class is an experience and an opportunity to do better.
What’s your ideal post-class meal/snack/drink/treat?
I teach morning and evenings classes, so mornings are for a good coffee – sometimes black, preferably a filter coffee or a soy flat white. Most days, I like breakfast with eggs (any style) with a good piece of sourdough bread and avocado. Or I also like a creamy banana porridge. I add lots of nuts, seeds, coconut yogurt, frozen berries, and turmeric powder.
In the evenings it’s all about the after dinner treat. A piece of dark chocolate for the win. I like in particular the Alter Eco bar that has sea salt. It’s perfect!
What’s your go-to song to get you pumped up for class?
Afro beats, Afro-pop, Afro house.

What’s the last good book you read?
A New Earth, Create a Better Life by Eckhart Tolle.
It helps to know yourself better. Every chapter is a journey to find who you truly are, the secret of happiness and how to become more present. I loved it.
What can we expect to experience from your class?
Dance moves every time I can fit them! A nice flow, good burn and good energy. Sassy hips when dancing and laughing at myself and apologising because my Spanish wants to overtake my English and I always call my legs arms and my arms legs.
