Orientation

You’re all set for your teacher training and we can’t wait to get geeky with you.

Tips and tricks on your upcoming training

  • WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Bring pens and snacks. You will receive your manual on day one of the course. Our manuals do have space for notes and function as workbooks, but if you like to keep them neat and scribble free, bring an extra notebook.

  • MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHAT DO I WEAR?

Your favourite workout gear. Bring something to keep you warm whilst we sit in between sessions. Fuzzy socks? Cute jumper? Yes!

  • I DON’T KNOW MY FEMUR FROM MY FUNNY BONE. HELP!

Don’t stress! We make all the anatomy components of the course simple, clear, and functional. F-U-N-ctional, if you know what we mean. No prior knowledge is needed so you can stop googling “what is a hinge joint” and chill.

  • CAN I SKIP A SESSION?

In order to complete your certification you will need to attend all days of the course. We ask that you please arrive on time and stay for the entire day to avoid disturbing your fellow trainees. If you have special circumstances please chat to our trainers in advance if you need to arrange to leave early.

  • NEED MORAL SUPPORT?

We have created a Facebook page for you to connect with our community of amazing barre and pilates teachers, graduates and enthusiasts. This closed page will allow you to support each other as you move through the online content and in the future, for any covers or fun bits of information we can share with you. We’ll invite you to it shortly.

  • CAN’T WAIT TO GET STARTED?

We highly recommend you participate in a minimum of 10 classes prior to training. This will help you to feel comfortable and familiar with the material. Plus, how fun is class? We also have some other pre-course suggestions for each of our courses. Click through to the Barre + Pilates or Reformer sections of this page to check them out.
