9. Governing Law

Any dispute arising in connection with Barre Body’s Online Teacher Training Program shall be governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Payment Policy

Full payment (including all payments under a payment plan) must be remitted prior to receiving your training certificate.

11. Withdrawal

In the event that you wish to withdraw from a training program after receiving your manual and/or commencing course work, you must provide written notice to Barre Body. Our refund policy is detailed below.

12. Refund Policy

Barre Body does not offer refunds for changes of mind. However, if you need to withdraw from the course due to personal circumstances that prevent you from completing it (such as a medical emergency, prolonged illness, death in the family, or other exceptional situations), you have several options:

  1. You may choose to defer your course enrollment for a period of up to 12 months.
  2. Alternatively, you can request a partial refund based on your progress in the course, as follows:
  • If you have completed 0-25% of the online course content, you will be eligible for a full refund of any payments made, with a deduction of a $325 administrative fee.
  • For progress ranging from 26% to 50%, you are entitled to a 50% refund of the total course cost.
  • If you have progressed beyond 50%, you will be eligible for a 25% refund of the total course cost.

To initiate a refund, you must bear the cost of returning the training manual. Refunds will be processed within 10 days of receiving the training manual. In cases where your total payments under a payment plan are less than your course progress, you will be required to transfer the additional funds as specified in the above policy in order to formally withdraw from the course. Any bank fees incurred during money transfers will be the sole responsibility of the enrolling student.

13. Failed Payments

If a monthly payment within a payment plan fails, you will have a 14-day grace period to rectify the outstanding payment. Failure to bring payments up to date within this period will result in your unenrollment from the course, with no refunds provided. During this time, we will make attempts to contact you, and should you fail to respond, this will be regarded as withdrawal from the course. Certificates will not be issued until all payments are settled.

14. Course Transfer

If you wish to transfer to a different Barre Body course, the following transfer fees will apply based on your completion progress of the original course:

  • If you have completed less than 25% of the online course content, a complimentary transfer to a course of equal or higher value will be granted.
  • If you have completed 25% to 50% of the content, a transfer fee of $450, in addition to any difference in course costs, will be applicable.
  • If you have completed over 50% of the content, a transfer fee of $900, along with any difference in course costs, will be applied.

To be eligible for a transfer you must return the course manuals at your own expense.

15. Course Completion and Assessment

The completion of 100% of the course content, along with submission of all assessments and accurate logging of hours, is required for certification to be conferred. This course is competency-based, meaning there is no pass or fail. You are allowed to resubmit your final assessment until you are deemed competent, up to a maximum of 12 months from the course enrollment date. Failure to submit your assessment within this time frame will necessitate a $325 late assessment fee.

16. Reassessment

In the event that your assessment is deemed not competent, we will provide feedback and suggest areas for revision to assist you in preparing for a reassessment. Reassessments must be completed within 12 months of your enrollment date to avoid incurring a $325 late assessment fee.

In-Person Teacher Training

17. Payment Policy

Upon acceptance, a non-refundable deposit of $925 is required to reserve your spot in the training program until the ‘paid in full’ due date. It is imperative that you consider your schedule thoroughly to ensure your ability to attend the intensive dates and that this program aligns with your current life circumstances.

18. Refund Policy

In the event that a student withdraws or requests a transfer from the course, the following refund policy shall be enforced:

  • If a student withdraws 30 days or more prior to the course commencement, the student will receive a refund of monies paid, minus the nonrefundable deposit of $925.
  • If a student withdraws within 15-29 days prior to course commencement, the student will receive a refund of monies paid, minus a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the full-price course cost.
  • If a student withdraws within two weeks (1-14 days) of the course commencement or withdraws after the course has commenced, the full course fee or any monies paid is non-refundable.

Any bank fees incurred during money transfers are the sole responsibility of the enrolling student.

19. Withdrawal Policy

In the event that a student opts to withdraw from a training program after the training start date, written notice must be provided to Barre Body. Such notice must bear the signature and date of the student.

If a student is unable to fulfill the required training hours due to a medical emergency, prolonged illness, death in the family, or other exceptional circumstances as determined by Barre Body, the student may be granted an exception to complete incomplete classes and sessions in a future training program at no additional tuition cost, within a period of 18 months.

A student will be deemed withdrawn from the training program if the student has not attended four consecutive training days.

Certification shall not be conferred until all program requirements have been met.

20. Transfer Policy

In the event that a student requests a transfer from the course, the student must submit a written request for a training transfer to Barre Body. The following transfer policy shall be enforced:

  • If a student transfers 30 days or more prior to the course commencement, the student may transfer free of charge transferring all payments made to a course of their choice.
  • If a student transfers 29 days or less prior to the course commencement, the student forfeits their non refundable deposit of $925.
  • If the student has already commenced training, the regular refund policy shall be in effect.

Transfer requests are subject to limitations, allowing for a single transfer only free of charge. Further transfers will incur a fee of $325. The consideration of transfer requests shall be determined on a case-by-case basis by Barre Body, which shall inform the student of the available training transfer programs in the training schedule.

Students shall bear the responsibility for any price disparity in training programs resulting from a transfer to a different program, and any such price difference shall be remitted in accordance with the newly agreed-upon training payment terms. Any bank fees incurred during money transfers are the sole responsibility of the enrolling student.

21. Attendance Policy

Successful completion of the program and attainment of a certificate necessitate a minimum attendance rate of 85%, or a minimum of 6 out of 7 days.

This program follows a competency-based approach, signifying that there are no pass or fail grades. Students are entitled to resit their final assessment until they have been deemed competent, within a six-month period following the program’s completion date.

Late arrival and early departure from any and all sessions will be considered instances of non-attendance, and the total hours of absence shall be recorded by facilitators, deducted from the overall program hours, and counted against the minimum required attendance.

22. Venue Changes

Barre Body reserves the right to modify the training venue if deemed necessary. In the event of a location change, we shall make arrangements to ensure your transportation to the alternate venue.

23. Cancellations

Barre Body retains the right to cancel retreats, training sessions, and programs at any time and for any reason. In such instances, our liability is limited to a full refund of the monies we have received from you or on your behalf.
